Akvaboard Tannin Block Primer

AKVABOARD™ Tannin Block Primer is an acrylic latex primer formulated to block tannin for use on bare interior and exterior preserved wood products. In addition to fast dry and excellent sanding characteristics, this primer reduces the risk of tannin bleed commonly seen from wood species such as redwood, western cedar, eastern white pine and oak. Typical end use products include window parts, door jambs, fascia and shutters. It is most effective when two coats are applied.

If using this product on a refinishing job, please note that it is sensitive to contamination. In the event that you see any signs of mud cracking, that piece would need to be sanded and re-cleaned before priming again. Do not over build this product. The addition of butyl cellosolve (co-solvent) helps with film formation.
