CHT Interior Waterborne Stain Pigments

CHT101-109 SERIES are waterborne microlith pigments used for tinting water-based stains. They have excellent light stability and fantastic unfirming coverage. They are compatible and can be used in conjunction with the CLT Dyes concentrates. These pigments have some particular properties that make them very effective in getting beautiful rich color on wood.

First, the pigments are semi-transparent, as opposed to opaque, so, they color the wood while still letting light pass through them down to the wood’s surface. This makes it possible to unify the wood’s color while minimizing the masking of the natural characteristics of the wood.

Next, they are a very concentrated micro grind paste. This means that the pigment particle is much smaller than those normally found in standard pigment formulations enabling them to distribute color very evenly and again reduces the muddiness normally associated with pigments in stains. It also helps these pigments stay in suspension.
