CIC12 Wiping Stain Resin

Milesi CIC12 is a professional-grade solvent-based wiping stain resin engineered for custom stain systems where precise control over wood grain definition, color clarity, and open time is essential. Designed specifically for spray/wipe or wipe-on stain applications, CIC12 provides finishers with the flexibility to build highly customized, repeatable stain formulas tailored to specific substrates and aesthetic goals.

Designed to be blended with Milesi-approved solvents, CLC30 enables exceptional clarity and grain control while providing flexibility to adjust open time and evaporation characteristics. Stains are created by tinting CLC30 with Milesi CIT Micro Pigments, KMT Pigment Pastes and CLT / CKT dyes, producing consistent color penetration without muddying or grain masking.

In typical formulations, CIC12 represents approximately 10%–30% of the total formula by weight (binder + solvent + pigment). Reducers generally account for 20%–50% of the final formula by weight, with LZC670 or LZC97 reducer recommended as the primary solvent vehicle. When extended open time is required, LTC96 or LTC31 retarder additive may be incorporated in small amounts to slow evaporation and enhance workability without compromising stain stability.
