CW-1123 Encapsulating Bonding Primer

CW-1123 is a single component water-based acrylic primer. Designed to be used for both interior and exterior applications, where stain blocking, early water resistance and strong adhesion are required. Ideal for use as a universal primer on ferrous and non-ferrous metal, cementitious, wood and plastic substrates. Can be re-coated with any Centurion topcoat, solvent or water based. It effectively locks in water stains, smoke stains, ink, tannins, and other difficult-to-cover stains, preventing them from bleeding through the topcoat of paint. This primer creates a smooth, bonding surface that helps the topcoat adhere better to the substrate.

It works on a wide range of surfaces creating a superior bond to wood, drywall, metal, and even glossy or chalky existing coatings. Excellent exterior durability-including grain crack resistance on wood and corrosion resistance on metal. The water-based technology allows the same performance as oil/solvent-based primer, with less toxicity and minimal impact on the environment.
