6" Electric Ray Sander (Gen2)

SurfPrep’s 6” Hook & Loop Gen2 Electric Ray Sander, is a brushless, energy-efficient random orbital sander designed for professionals who demand superior control and long-term durability. With the lowest profile in its class and a total weight of just 2.5 lbs, the Gen2 delivers exceptional balance and comfort for all-day sanding. The new dual-chambered airflow design is engineered to handle higher pressure without overheating, ensuring consistent performance and extended tool life. Its direct-wire design means no external power supply box—simply plug into any standard outlet and start sanding. This built-in efficiency also keeps annual operating costs impressively low - about $20 per year when used 4 hours a day, 240 days a year.

The Gen2’s ergonomic grip and balanced construction reduce operator fatigue, while its vacuum-ready design connects easily to dust extraction systems for cleaner, healthier work environments. It’s also compatible with most multi-hole abrasive discs, adding versatility to your setup. Each 6” Electric Ray Sander includes a Hook & Loop Backup Pad and a PUHCMF-BL vacuum adapter, providing everything you need for a complete, ready-to-use system.

Available in both 3/16" and 3/32" orbital sanding ranges:

3/16″ orbit is more aggressive and cuts faster. The larger orbit can leave a more noticeable scratch. 3/16 is better for sealer sanding with sponges.

3/32″ orbit is less aggressive so it is better for a final pass on raw wood to minimize scratch and swirls. It is better for sealer sanding with film or paper.
