Triple S™ Chemical Patinas transform metal surfaces with authentic, reactive color solution. Designed for professional finishers and metal artisans, these solutions create rich, durable tones on bronze, brass, copper, and select steel substrates. Unlike painted coatings, Triple S Patinas form a true chemical reaction with the metal surface, developing natural oxide layers that deliver depth, durability, and a premium, aged aesthetic.
Each formula is engineered for flexibility across materials and methods, whether applied hot for accelerated color build or cold for subtler tones. The line supports brush, spray, or dip applications, allowing finishers to control tone through layering, dwell time, and temperature. With minimal prep required and easy compatibility with clear coatings or micro-crystalline wax sealers, Triple S Patinas integrate seamlessly into shop workflows for both one-off custom pieces and production-scale projects.

How to Use:
- Surface Preparation: Remove all oils, fingerprints, and trace contaminants. Lightly abrade if needed for better wetting.
- Select the process:
- Warm process: Pre-heat the metal (non-ferrous) to ~180–220 °F for faster, deeper color build.
- Cold process: Apply at room temperature, particularly effective on steel for rich browns or rust-like finishes.
- Application: Apply evenly in thin passes. For layered effects, let each pass develop before applying the next. Maintain consistency in spray distance, brush strokes, or dip time.
- Stop the reaction & rinse (if needed): Some processes require a rinse or neutralizer; others simply rely on cooling to lock in the finish. Refer to substrate-specific instructions.
- Seal for durability: After the desired tone is achieved, protect the finish with clear lacquer for commercial use or micro-crystalline wax for decorative interior pieces.
